Save your stamps today
Don’t throw your used postage stamps away – by saving them you can help children who are blind. All you have to do is collect the stamps you receive from friends, family and business associates and drop them off at your nearest collection point. Money raised from selling these stamps will go to supporting special schools for children who are blind or partially sighted with multiple disabilities like the RNIB Sunshine House School, UK.
The RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind) in the UK, permanently collect new and used postage stamps, which they sell to raise money for blind and partially sighted adults and children. They raise more money for stamps from ‘overseas’ and find it a constant challenge trying to get more contacts. Money raised from this collection helps support services like RNIB Sunshine House School, Northwood. This is a non-maintained special school for children who are blind or partially sighted with multiple disabilities providing a service of high quality specialist education and care through daily and residential provision, enabling the children to achieve their potential.
Foresight and Tamkeen have launched this campaign in Dubai to convert something that is normally thrown away into help for children who are blind and visually impaired.
TNT is giving their support to send the collection to the UK. Hewlett Packard and Tecom have also given support. Thank you to Atom for the design work.
