Our Objective
Creating awareness of a visually impaired person as a whole person.
By arrangement with the schools and colleges, trained Foresight volunteers are conducting fun workshops in the classroom. Through a variety of activities, including role-play and problem-solving, the children find out about the adjustments that visually impaired people need to make in their everyday life, and learn how to respond to their needs with sensitivity. In addition, presentations are being made to assemblies and college/university groups on Retinitis Pigmentosa and Katy’s London Marathon run.
The emphasis of the education campaign is on empathy and acceptance rather than sympathy.
